When building our archive, we go in pursuit of fabrics forgotten in corners and textures that others overlook. We blend them with Vessden's dark and romantic aesthetic, transforming them into pieces you'll truly love to wear today. For us, it's not just about selling vintage; it's about reimagining the past for today's world and letting these pieces start a new life with you.
Vessden is an independent journey led by a 20-year-old university student in a home studio in Istanbul. There are no factories, assembly lines, or large teams here. I am the one who personally handpicks each piece from warehouses, cleans, repairs, and reshapes its character at the sewing machine.
When you purchase a piece from Vessden, you aren't just buying a garment; you are embracing and supporting hours of manual labor in a small room, time spent sewing, and an independent vision.
Each piece, patiently selected and rescued from the dusty corners of the past, forms the foundation of the Vessden archive. This carefully curated selection undergoes a meticulous process before reaching you. Instead of harsh chemicals, we use fabric-friendly cleaners for deep purification and disinfect them with high-pressure steam. In cases of stubborn marks or repairs, we apply precise interventions that respect the essence and integrity of the fabric without damaging its soul. We see minor flaws not as mistakes to hide, but as traces of life lived. When necessary, we recreate and integrate them into the design using lace, metal hardware, and new silhouettes.
